Hi, Iām Sam!
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Orlando, I have spent the past seven years in Cambridge where I recently graduated from MIT with a degree in mechanical engineering and design. My loves for teaching and for learning led me to take a job at the MIT CADLAB, where I now help teach one of the very same classes I found so influential as an undergrad.
While I am of course very interested in engineering, I am much more passionate about how we as a society can apply engineering concepts to real-world social problems, not just problems directly related to technology. I believe that many challenges faced in almost any industry can be approached and overcome with an engineering mindset; all that is needed is creativity, curiosity, and collaboration!
In my free time you can find me bouldering, binge-watching The Bachelor, or caring for my ever-growing collection of houseplants.
